Studio 391 Showcased at San Francisco Media & Travel Event

Gualala, CA (Mendocino County) - June 18, 2010 -- Studio 391 attended the first San Francisco Media & Travel Showcase. The gallery was invited by Visit Mendocino County, Inc. which organized the event to promote tourism in Mendocino County to San Francisco Bay Area writers and travel editors.

The event was held at Piazza Marketplace in North Beach, San Francisco on Wednesday, June 16th. Travel writers, editors and other tourism professionals from the Bay Area gathered to acquire information about the businesses and services of Mendocino County. Several businesses and services from Mendocino County were present to answer questions, provide food samples, wine tastings and more.

Carol and Paul Kozal of Studio 391 in Gualala’s Cypress Village Gallery District answered questions about their gallery and what they have to offer to visitors visiting the South Coast of Mendocino County. They also talked in great detail about Gualala as an art destination.

“Everyone I spoke with was very interested in Gualala. They were especially
surprised to learn that there were close to a dozen art galleries and art venues in Gualala. Hopefully, we changed the perception of what the South Coast of Mendocino County has to offer,” said Carol Kozal, Gallery Director/Owner of Studio 391. “We distributed a list of the galleries in the area. Perhaps we’ll see a feature or story about Gualala as an art destination.”

Barbara Pratt of the Gualala Arts Center was also in attendance to answer questions about the art center, the North Coast Artists Guild’s Studio Discovery Tour, Art in the Redwoods, and other events and programs offered by the art center.

The San Francisco Media and Travel Showcase was organized by Visit Mendocino County Inc., the official tourism bureau for Mendocino County.

Studio 391 is a fine art gallery on the Mendocino Coast specializing in photography, paintings, sculpture, glass, ceramics and mixed media by local, regional and nationally established artists. The gallery is located at 39102 Ocean Drive in Cypress Village, Gualala’s gallery district next to Placewares+LyndonDesign, Spindrift Gallery, and Henley’s.
